RUPLASTICA as a reflection of international trade

Against the background of global economic changes, hundreds of companies involved in the development, production, sale and processing of plastic, polymer and rubber products, as well as related industries, regularly offer new tools and solutions to the market. At the end of January 2024, the RUPLASTICA exhibition site will traditionally serve as a meeting place for the industry.

From January 23 to January 26, 2024, the polymer industry will summarize the results of this year at Expocentre Fairgrounds. The RUPLASTICA exhibition will traditionally serve as a barometer of the industry and, together with the exhibition projects UPAKEXPO, RECYCLING SOLUTIONS and ADDITIVE MINDED, will present an objective picture of the current situation in polymers, recycling, packaging and 3D technologies.

It is safe to say that the composition of the exhibitors and the topics discussed at the exhibitions are a reduced model of the country's economy, including foreign trade and domestic production. The total number of participants in all projects, including leading Russian and foreign players, currently exceeds 900 companies (data for November’23).

More than 350 exhibitors have already been announced in the Russian part of the exposition. If we take into account that more than 9.5 thousand plastic processors work in the country, 160 of them are large companies, then together with the total number of visitors to the exhibitions, which is expected to reach 25 thousand specialists, the scale of RUPLASTICA and UPAKEXPO reflects the situation in the industry as representative as possible.

Almost 60 companies will come from Turkey, a large delegation of exhibitors from China is expected – in terms of the number of participants, they promise to make up the majority in the international ranking of exhibitors. Representatives of the polymer business of the CIS countries, Europe, India, and the Middle East also confirmed their participation.

The multi-international part of the exhibition reflects the entire range of industry needs:

  • multi-tonnage polymer plants for PE, PP, PVC, PET;
  • manufacturers of compounds;
  • mold manufacturers;
  • traders of raw materials with competitive offers of raw materials by country of origin, price, quality and speed of delivery;
  • suppliers of plastic recycling equipment, including secondary processing.

Russian plastics processing is one of the production sectors that responds quickly to the changing environment and has achieved great success in import substitution of goods today. We are talking about items that people need daily in everyday life, and about industrial products. In the production chain from raw materials to the final product, everything is important: injection molding machines, peripherals, and properly selected material. But still, the mold is responsible for the final result — the accuracy of the product, its functionality, and design. Its role is undeniable and deserves special attention, especially now when it is necessary to expand the range of manufactured goods.

That is why a new special project "Molds and dies: shaping content and form" starts at the RUPLASTICA 2024 exhibition, which will traditionally be held in January at Expocentre Fairgrounds.

For the first time, the theme of the forming tool will come into the focus of special attention of the exhibition. The project will be attended by Russian and foreign suppliers, industry experts and new players in the domestic market — about 80 exhibitors from Russia, the CIS and foreign countries in total. 30 companies have already announced the presentation of molds as the main exhibits at their stands, another 30 will show tooling as an addition to the main casting or extrusion equipment. In addition, a representative exhibition of molders was announced from China.

Special attention at the exhibition will be paid to the logistics unit, which plays one of the key roles in the development of the industry today. Companies offering the most relevant and effective solutions in the field of transportation and storage will be located in a special space of the LOGISTIC POINT in Hall 2.3 of the Expocenter. Manufacturers of equipment for labeling and barcoding finished products will also take an important place, the demand for their services is steadily growing every season due to the introduction of accounting rules for all new product categories.

The RUPLASTICA and UPAKEXPO exhibitions are a serious step in the formation of professionals. Therefore, another innovation at the upcoming exhibition is the organization of a specialized section of EDUCATION POINT dedicated to education, career growth, the search for specialists and their promotion.

At the exhibition, students can see the multifaceted work of the industry, which they have chosen for their destiny and career. And specialists, in turn, are always looking for a talented young addition. Enterprises in the polymer and packaging industries are looking for opportunities to improve the skills of employees. Young people interested in this industry want to find their way around the possibilities of obtaining professional education.

The interests of all these groups will correspond to a special section of the RUPLASTICA exhibition – EDUCATION POINT, which presents educational institutions of different levels from all over the country, as well as young professionals who are looking for the first step to start their careers, and who, in turn, have already proved themselves in the educational process.

In addition to the large-scale exposition, the main meeting place for participants, visitors and leading market experts will traditionally be the sites of the business program of the exhibition. In the new season, conferences and seminars taking place within the framework of POLYMER PLAZA, RECYCLING SOLUTIONS, INNOVATION PACK and ADDITIVE MINDED business platforms will cover such important topics as:

  • State and prospects of the Russian polymer production and consumption market;
  • Trends in the polymer, recycling, packaging and additive technology industries;
  • Legislative initiatives and regulatory regulation of these segments in Russia;
  • State and prospects of the consumer market in Russia;
  • Environmental trends and packaging requirements, eco-design;
  • Recycling;
  • Raw materials for the industry and import substitution;
  • Logistics and supplies;
  • Opportunities for exporting products from Russia;
  • Import trends;
  • New projects for the production of polymers and raw materials for their production, as well as in the field of waste management and recycling;
  • The current situation in the field of ROP;
  • Tariff regulation in the waste management segment;
  • Look at the industry from the players of the FMCG segment.

Thus, what should be the balance of internal and external relations, whether they need to be adjusted, what new things 2024 will bring, as well as how to build new routes and gain competencies in related areas – all these issues and solutions to problems will be presented on the agenda of the exhibitions RUPLASTICA, RECYCLING SOLUTIONS and UPAKEXPO 2024.

The dialogue will take place with the participation of representatives of the leading partner countries – after all, the structure of the exhibitions, as mentioned above, reflects the updated model of international relations.

The largest and most reputable international exhibition in Russia – RUPLASTICA 2024 – is an ideal place to dock. This is a platform where all the competencies in the technological field are gathered in one place, where there is direct contact with suppliers along the entire technological chain from the main equipment to the periphery, tooling and alternative raw materials.

All the components for successful assembly and reassembly of projects are presented here. Industry leaders are available — both companies and experts: technologists, engineers, specialists in foreign trade and financial issues.

Only here, on one site, suppliers of universal solutions and customers from specific areas are brought together and can find technical solutions right on the spot. This opportunity is provided by the combination of the RUPLASTICA and UPAKEXPO expositions, the RECYCLING SOLUTIONS special project on recycled materials, the ADDITIVE MINDED 3D technology zone and the new project "Molds and Dies".
