RUPLASTICA 2024: a new wave of interest in working in the Russian polymer market

The RUPLASTICA exhibition will be held from January 23 to 26, 2024 at the Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow in an expanded format. The combined RUPLASTICA exposition, together with the UPAKEXPO packaging industry exhibition and the RECYCLING SOLUTIONS waste management trade fair, will be attended by twice as many exhibitors as in previous years.

The total number of participants exceeds 1100 companies from several dozen countries, including representatives from Russia, Turkey, Iran, China, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Israel, as well as Taiwan, the Republic of Belarus, South Korea and Indonesia.

To accommodate the increased number of exhibitors, the exhibition space has also been doubled: Pavilion 8 (halls 1-3), Pavilion 2 (halls 1-3), the Forum will become the working area of the exhibitions, and Pavilion 3 will be used for the first time.

The 2024 exhibitions reflect the unprecedented interest of domestic and international players in working in the Russian polymer market. Almost half of the participants will present their products for the first time – so visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted in detail with new suppliers from Russia, CIS countries, Asia and the Middle East.

Chinese companies are the most widely represented among foreign exhibitors, and representatives of Turkey, India and Iran promise interesting and rich presentations. Firms with European roots, firmly entrenched in the Russian market, and of course key domestic manufacturers of polymer products of all directions will continue their work.

The activity of the exhibitors is dictated by the new international trade environment, when new players seek to occupy vacant niches. RUPLASTICA, in turn, creates conditions for establishing new contacts, expanding the geography of cooperation and choosing optimal solutions.

The achievement of technological sovereignty and a new vector of movement to the East are the economic trends that have already gained strength, and within the framework of the RUPLASTICA, UPAKEXPO and RECYCLING SOLUTIONS exhibition projects they acquire their industry specifics, as well as are complemented by equally relevant and global tasks such as ecology, efficient use of resources and new materials processing technologies.

That is why, within the framework of the joint exhibition, projects on 3D-printing ADDITIVE MINDED and recycling of plastics RECYCLING SOLUTIONS continue to develop.

ADDITIVE MINDED will bring together a large conference with the participation of more than 30 companies, many of which will not only talk, but also show their solutions in action as part of a parallel exhibition.

RECYCLING SOLUTIONS will unite this time more than 100 companies with a wide range of equipment – shredders, sinks, granulators, dryers, sorting equipment. The leading recycling players will also share their expertise in the industry during the business program of the exhibitions.

The project closely intersects with the tasks of the packaging industry, which will have to seriously deal with the disposal of packaging, as required by new legislation. Therefore, the traditional tandem of the polymer and packaging industry RUPLASTICA – UPAKEXPO, which is successfully implemented at the January exhibitions, once again confirms its relevance.

The premiere project of this season will be a special exhibition "MOLDS AND DIES: SHAPING CONTENT AND FORM" (Pavilion 2), where more than 120 companies from six countries will present the forming tool. Thus, plastic processors will have more opportunities to solve their tasks along the entire production chain during the exhibition. Molds are always in demand, because they are responsible for the final appearance of the product, and at the same time they represent the most difficult stage for each manufacturer – a lot of joint work of the customer and the manufacturer is required to get the desired result. But now all issues can be resolved faster – in search of a suitable offer, you don't have to travel all over the country and to other countries – mold manufacturers themselves will present their capabilities in Moscow at the RUPLASTICA 2024 exhibition.

Traditionally, RUPLASTICA is an abundance of working equipment. This time, injection molding and extrusion machines, as well as related equipment, will be shown by more than 200 companies, mainly they will be concentrated in Pavilion 2.

Industry specialists are once again waiting for an extensive supply of raw materials. Among the exhibitors are manufacturers of large–tonnage polymers, both Russian and imported. Special products will be shown by suppliers of compounds, additives and other materials. Trading companies will also present a large portfolio of polymer chemistry. The main focus of the raw materials industry will be in the Forum Pavilion, which will house more than 220 companies from Russia, China, Iran, Germany, Turkey and Indonesia, etc.

The principle of segmentation by topic is also implemented in other pavilions. So, UPAKEXPO will be located in Pavilion 8 with an emphasis on packaging equipment, bottling machines, printing equipment, packaging manufacturing and directly on the packaging itself.

A significant part of Pavilion 2 is devoted to RECYCLING SOLUTIONS technologies, and the new Pavilion 3 (along with a variety of exhibitions on the polymer industry) is also hosting the ADDITIVE MINDED project this year.

Special attention this season is paid to science and education. Industry universities will be presented in a new format on a single thematic platform in Pavilion 8.3. The open area will allow you to conduct your own business program and organize comfortable communication. In addition, for the first time, an International hackathon on Polymer Chemistry and Physics will be held in the RUPLASTICA space, organized by the MNPC with the support of the exhibition and Sibur.

The general business program for all visitors and participants of exhibition projects in January 2024 includes more than 100 reports from recognized industry experts. It will focus on the development of markets, legislative innovations in the field of recycling, new technologies, import, export, logistics and promotion tools.

A thematic conference on plastic casting and blowing and a conference on quality control in polymer and packaging production will also be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

– To help visitors – an online-catalog for the entire exhibition, including packaging: https://ruplastica-online.ru/expositions/exposition/40-ruplastica-2024.html?filter_rubr=35928&exists_rubr=0. This service will allow visitors to build an optimal route between the halls, save time and pay more attention to professional communication with partners.

The official exhibition guide with a detailed plan for the pavilions, a list of participants with stands and a schedule of business programs will also be available to visitors at the venue.
