In addition, on January 23, the conference "Plastic casting and blowing. Smart Technologies", organized by Plastics magazine; and on January 24 and 25, the II International Hackathon on the discipline "Chemistry and Physics of Polymers", organized by the MNPC, will take place.

   RECYCLING SOLUTIONS (January 24th | Pavilion 2.3)

The recycling segment remains an important and integral part for discussions at upcoming events. The issues discussed at the business program will touch not only on the topics of sustainable development, waste management and recycling of polymers and rubbers, but also raise an important layer of requests for work in new conditions that concern many market participants. The key topics will be: the development of a waste management system, polymer recycling, expanding the responsibility of the packaging manufacturer, projects in the field of sustainable development, solutions in the field of flexible packaging and the environmental agenda.

Alexander Svidovsky, General Director of the EcoLine-VtorPlast polymer recycling plant, notes:

"Today, the market for recycling secondary polymers is very active. In the last five years, the state has paid great attention to the issue of waste management. The law on expanded responsibility of manufacturers and importers for the disposal of goods and packaging was signed, which discouraged the use of non-environmentally friendly and non-recyclable materials in goods and packaging, and also created conditions for the development of recycling. Both of these processes have a common goal – to reduce waste disposal by up to 50% by 2030. The RECYCLING SOLUTIONS exhibition is a discussion platform where many expert proposals are formulated, which later become the basis of legislative acts".

The discussion will be opened by Alexander Markushin, Deputy General Director of PPK REO, with a report on the development of the waste management system of hazard classes III-V in Russia. Elena Vishnyakova, Deputy General Director of Ecoline Group, will talk about the problems and possibilities of recycling plastic packaging.

Olga Stadnik, Head of the EcoTechLab Research Center, EcoTechnologies:

"The key task for processors is to quickly familiarize themselves and integrate into new ROP mechanisms. For many sub-sectors, primarily polymer waste disposal, updating legislation requires significant changes or improvements in internal processes. Some may even lose the cash flows previously received from the ROP. At the forum, it is important to discuss the pitfalls of new requirements and share a vision for the development of the recycling industry in a new context".

On January 24, the Conference "Laboratory and quality control in polymer and packaging production" will also be held in the Buffet Hall.
